UPSC Prelims 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is considering a significant change in its Civil Services Examination process. A Parliamentary Committee has recommended that UPSC release the answer key for the preliminary examination immediately after it is conducted. This proposal aims to increase transparency and fairness by allowing candidates to challenge any potential errors before moving forward.

The current practice involves releasing the answer key only after the entire selection process is completed, which can delay candidates' ability to challenge errors and may undermine confidence in the exam's validity.

Enhancing Transparency and Fairness:

The recommendation to release the answer key promptly is part of broader efforts to enhance the credibility of the Civil Services Examination. The Committee emphasizes that immediate disclosure will allow candidates to raise objections, ensuring that any errors are addressed before the next stage of the exam. This approach aligns with the need for transparency and fairness in such a critical selection process.
