Ayodhya, Basti, Gonda, Mathura election results 2024: Uttar Pradesh is witnessing an unexpected turn of events as Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP) has taken lead over the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in several constituencies. SP, which fought the Lok Sabha elections as part of the INDIA bloc, has made major gains in the state. The city of Ayodhya, which comes under the Faizabad constituency, sees BJP trailing behind SP. In Mathura, however, Hema Malini has maintained a comfortable lead over the Congress candidate.
