Chhattisgarh Election Result 2023: Durg City stands as an electoral constituency in Chhattisgarh. It falls within the jurisdiction of Durg district in the state. The second distinctive comprehensive update of the voter registry, preceding the forthcoming assembly election, is presently under progress in Chhattisgarh. The procedure of incorporating fresh names into the list of voters has commenced. The constituency comprises a total of 2,01,841 registered voters, with 1,00,438 being male and 1,01,379 female.

This year, Chhattisgarh is set to witness a head-to-head contest between the incumbent Congress and the primary opposition, BJP. The BJP is heavily relying on the popularity of PM Modi and the concept of a "double-engine government," a term frequently employed by the saffron party during state Assembly election campaigns. Meanwhile, the Congress has brought corruption to the forefront as the central focus in the lead-up to the Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023.

Durg City Assembly Election 2023:

Scheduled for the close of 2023, Chhattisgarh is gearing up for assembly elections, prompting all political factions to actively participate in the electoral competition. Leaders of these parties are employing diverse strategies to gauge the sentiment of Chhattisgarh's populace.

Following suit, the BJP has inaugurated a call centre and a dedicated control centre to comprehend the public sentiment, a move that has also been launched in the prominent Durg district of the state.

On Thursday, August 10, the District BJP President, Jitendra Verma, officially launched the call centre and war room at the district party office. Verma, initiated the operations following a puja ceremony. While inaugurating these facilities, he mentioned that the establishment of the room and call centre in the Durg district BJP office was undertaken in accordance with the directives from the state BJP.

Durg City Assembly Election 2018:

In 2018, Congress' Arun Vora won the election by surpassing Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Chandrika Chandrakar with a lead of 21,081 votes. During the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Durg City witnessed a voting participation rate of 68.24 per cent.

Durg City Assembly Election 2013:

In 2013, Congress' Arun Vora clinched victory in the constituency with a lead of 5,621 votes (constituting 4.06 per cent of the total votes). During the 2013 Chhattisgarh elections, Durg City witnessed a voting participation rate of 68.06 per cent and in 20008, 64.08 per cent.
