Wayanad Lok Sabha Election 2024 Result: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has registered a massive victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala. According to the official data released by the Election Commission of India, Gandhi secured 6,47,445 votes and his rival candidate Annie Raja from the CPI managed to get 2,83,023 votes. Rahul Gandhi defeated Raja with a huge margin of 3,64,422 votes. Meanwhile, BJP leader K Surendran came third receiving 1,41,045 votes. 

Following the announcement of the results, Rahul Gandhi held a press conference and expressed gratitude towards the voters. Gandhi emphasised that the INDIA bloc did not fight for just one political party and added that the election was against the central agencies including ED, and CBI. He also stated that the opposition bloc fought to save the Constitution of the country.

The Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency is considered a stronghold for the Congress as the grand old party received third consecutive win. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi won the seat with more than 7 lakh votes. He defeated the CPI candidate PP Suneer, who received 2.7 lakh votes. In the 2014 general elections, MI Shanavas of the Congress won the seat by 3,77,035 votes. He defeated Sathyan Mokeri of the CPI with a margin of 20,870 votes.
