Lok Sabha Election 2024: The high-octane campaigning for the sixth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha election concluded on Thursday. The upcoming phase will witness voting in 58 Lok Sabha seats across eight states and union territories. The fates of 889 candidates, including several bigwigs, will be sealed in the penultimate round of polling scheduled for Saturday (May 25).
As part of the sixth phase, all seven parliamentary seats across Delhi will go to the polls. Similarly, all 10 Lok Sabha seats across Haryana will witness simultaneous voting on May 25. In the 2019 general election, the BJP managed a clean sweep across Delhi and Haryana. The Congress and AAP have teamed up against the BJP under the INDIA bloc banner in Delhi and Haryana.
Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 6: High-Ticket Poll Rallies
The final day of campaigning for phase 6 saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi address a rally in Haryana's Bhiwani. Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a campaign event in Delhi's Dwarka and his cabinet colleague Piyush Goyal canvassed for BJP candidates in the Najafgarh area of the national capital.
Leaders of the INDIA Opposition alliance also went full throttle in an attempt to gain popular support for their candidates. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi held a rally in support of the party's North East Delhi candidate and former JNU Students' Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Rahul shared a series of images showing him travelling alongside Kanhaiya in a Delhi Metro train. Rahul's sister and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also led a roadshow in Sirsa, Haryana.
Lok Sabha Election 2024: Phase 6 Key Candidates
The prominent BJP candidates whose fates will be decided upon by voters in phase 6 of Lok Sabha election 2024 include Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan (Sambalpur), former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar (Karnal), Manoj Tiwari (North East Delhi), and Bansuri Swaraj (New Delhi). Former Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Chattopadhyay, who retired from judicial services earlier this year to join the BJP, will also be contesting his maiden election from the Tamluk seat in West Bengal.
On the other hand, notable Congress candidates, besides Kanhaiya Kumar, for the sixth phase include Kumari Selja (Sirsa), Deepender Singh Hooda (Rohtak), JP Agarwal (Chandni Chowk). Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Somnath Bharti, who is contesting as the INDIA bloc's candidate from New Delhi against Bansuri, is also in the spotlight.
