Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today file his nomination from the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency for a third consecutive term. Several Union Ministers, over 12 Chief Ministers and the chiefs of NDA allies are likely to be present on the occasion. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, his Chhattisgarh counterpart Vishnu Deo Sai and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will be present.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, his Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, his Goa counterpart Pramod Sawant, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang and his Tripura counterpart Manik Saha will also be there.

Besides, Rashtriya Lok Dal Chief Jayant Chaudhary, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Chief Chirag Paswan, Apna Dal (S) President Anupriya Patel, and Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party President Om Prakash Rajbhar will also attend the occasion.

Before filing his nomination papers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will first visit Dashashwamedh Ghat to pay obeisance to Maa Ganga and is likely to take a bath in the river. He will then visit Namo Ghat, followed by offering prayers at the Baba Kaal Bhairav temple. Finally, the Prime Minister will proceed to the collectorate to file his nomination.

Ahead of filing his nomination papers on May 14, PM Narendra Modi held a grand roadshow in Varanasi on Monday evening. A large number of women in saffron attire walked ahead of the vehicle carrying Modi during the latter’s 6-km-long roadshow in Varanasi. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and UP BJP chief Bhupendra Chaudhary.
