New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The ruling BJP-Shiv Sena bonhomie is looking certain for another term in office as early trends suggest a dominating victory for the alliance. As per the trends available, the BJP-Shiv Sena combine has already crossed the majority mark of 145 in the 288-seat state assembly.
The trends fall in line with the exit poll predictions which had projected a dominating victory for the saffron party in the state, with the poll of polls giving 203-204 seats to the ruling alliance.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut today morning pitched for Aaditya Thackeray as the chief minister of the state. He also claimed that the BJP will not be able to form the government in the state without his party’s support.
The demand foresees another round of bickering between Sena and the bigger ally BJP. The parties have earlier flexed their muscles demanding a larger share of seats in the state.
Later, the BJP managed to keep the alliance with Shiv Sena intact. As per the seat-sharing deal, the BJP is contesting on 150 seats while the Shiv Sena has fielded its candidates on 124 seats, thereby leaving the remaining 14 for smaller allies, which have contested on the ‘Lotus’ symbol of the saffron party.
