Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy said that the grand old party’s MLA was set to become the Chief Minister in Telangana. He called the recently concluded state polls as semi-finals of national elections.  

Manikrao Thakare, AICC Incharge of Telangana, while talking on exit polls said the grand old party was set to win above 70 seats in the state. He said the party's high command would decide the CM's face. ,

Telangana Minister and BRS leader KTR Rao said exit polls were illogical and the EC shouldn’t have permitted this as people were in lines to vote till 9 pm. He said he had come to tell his party to not believe in nonsense.   ,

Amid low voting percentage in Telangana polls, Actor Vijay Deverakonda urges youth to come out and cast votes. "I heard that the polling percentage is a little low. I request all the young boys and girls who have their voting ID and election card to come and vote. Come with your families and vote, you should do it," says the actor. ,

According to the latest update by the Election Commission, a total of 36.68 per cent of voter turnout has been recorded in Telangana. Medak district has recorded the highest voter turnout till now at 50.80 per cent, while Hyderabad district has recorded the lowest polling percentage so far at 20.79 per cent.

Telangana records 20.64 per cent voter turnout till 11 am.

Early voters in the Telangana Assembly Election 2023 include popular names such as former cricketer and Congress candidate from Jubilee Hills Mohd Azharuddin, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, BRS lawmaker K Kavitha and Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao.

A scuffle was reported between workers of different parties at the polling station in Jangaon. Groups of workers of BJP, BRS and Congress clashed outside the polling booth. The situation was later brought under control by police, news agency ANI reports.,

Reacting to incidents of high-value seizure by Election Commission during Telangana elections, Owaisi says, "As far as I know, the money had come from the neighbouring state. It has been seized. This is a big challenge for all of us."

Voting on 119 seats has started in Telangana and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged voters to exercise their voting rights. He tweeted, "I call upon my sisters and brothers of Telangana to vote in record numbers and strengthen the festival of democracy. I particularly urge young and first-time voters to exercise their franchise."

For the first time in Telangana, a home voting facility is being provided to persons with disabilities and voters above 80 years of age. Home voting for citizens aged over 80 years and persons with disabilities has also been made available, with about 27,600 voters enlisted to avail of the service on Thursday. About 1,000 other voters have also registered for the Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System.

Polling began in Telangana amid elaborate arrangements in all 119 Assembly constituencies in Telangana on Thursday morning. Voting began at 7 am and will conclude at 6 pm. As many as 2,290 candidates from 109 national and regional parties including 221 women and one transgender are in the fray. Their fate will be decided by a total of 3.17 crore voters.
