Om Raut's directorial 'Adipurush' has created a lot of excitement amongst the audience ever since its announcement. As the movie is getting closer to its release date, the makers of 'Adipurush' have left no stone unturned to promote the film across the country. To create more hype, a grand pre-release event for 'Adipurush' was organised in Tirupati and a huge amount was spent at this event.

According to reports, about Rs 2.5 crore was spent at the pre-release event of 'Adipurush' and Rs 50 lakhs were reportedly spent on just firecrackers. It has been reported that Kriti Sanon charged around Rs 3 crore for the film and the cost of the pre-release event was nearly the same as her fees.

Kriti Sanon expressed her gratitude towards the audience for showering love on 'Adipurush'. Earlier, 'Adipurush' faced criticism due to its poor VFX and portrayal of Ramayana. Kriti defended her film and said, "As Om Raut, my director has mentioned in the note that was brought out, it is a film that we all are extremely proud of. It is a film which is of grand canvas; it is a part of our history and is extremely important. It needs to be put out in the right way and in the best possible way because that’s what he (Om) also had envisioned."

She added, "So a one-minute 35-second teaser came out. There is a lot more to the film that he (Om) needs to work upon, and needs time. We all want to give it the best shot because this is an opportunity to get our history, to get our religion globally out there. It is a story that we all are proud of, so it needs to be done in the best possible way. And I think he is going to give it all the talent that it needs, and all the effort it needs because the heart and the soul are in the right place.”

'Adipurush' stars Prabhas and Kriti Sanon as Raghava and Janaki respectively. Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Devdatta Nage as Bajrang. The movie will release on June 16, 2023.
