Following the theatrical debut of 'Adipurush', numerous people have ruthlessly criticised the film directed by Om Raut. From lacklustre dialogues to subpar visual effects, the movie has faced significant backlash, prompting the creators to make revisions to certain dialogues within the film.

Now adding to the chorus of criticism is Gajendra Chauhan, a renowned actor who portrayed the iconic character of Yudhishthir in BR Chopra's television series 'Mahabharat' and previously served as the chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).

Chauhan has recently shared his reaction to the film, stating that despite purchasing a ticket, he has deliberately chosen not to watch it in order to uphold his personal beliefs. He further expressed his belief that the creators of the film intend to corrupt the values of future generations.

'Adipurush,' a cinematic adaptation of the legendary Ramayana, made a remarkable impact with its initial release at the box office. The film premiered nationwide last week in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil.

'Adipurush' features Prabhas as Raghav (Ram), Kriti Sanon as Janaki (Sita), and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Raavan). However, shortly after its release, the film witnessed a significant decline in its box office performance.

During a conversation with India Today, Gajendra Chauhan said, "I had booked a ticket to watch this film, but for some reason, my conscience refused to accept that I should go and watch it in the theatre. In fact, after seeing everything in the trailers and short clips, I realised that this film is not worth it. I don't want to compromise my beliefs. I want to see Lord Ram as Lord Shri Ram."

Slamming the dialogues in the movie, he said, "Yeh giri hui soch ka natija hai (This is a product of low thinking). You write the way you think. Manoj Muntashir, who is a lyricist was given the job to write dialogues for the film. He has copied things from different sources and made a mess. He is an egotistical man. He hasn't achieved an inch of what Rahi Masoom Raza Saab had written in 'Mahabharat.'"

On Wednesday, T-Series, the production company behind 'Adipurush', revealed that viewers could now enjoy a discounted ticket price of Rs 150 on Thursday and Friday. Manoj Muntashir, one of the co-writers of the film, faced criticism, particularly regarding the dialogue of Lord Hanuman in the Lanka Dahan sequence, among other aspects. In response, Muntashir had previously stated that the team would make revisions to certain dialogues. Subsequently, the revised lines were incorporated into the film.
