As per the reports, the filmmaker will set foot in Hollywood and has been signed by a talent agency in Hollywood as well.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali To Choose Between 90s Hit ‘Baiju Bawra’ And ‘Inshallah’ For Remake; Details

According to a report by Deadline, the filmmaker and his banner, Bhansali Productions, have signed with the Hollywood agency WME (William Morris Endeavor). The agency is also the representative of many stars like Ben Affleck, Jessica Alba, Christian Bale, Kate Beckinsale and Matt Damon.

On the work front, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has collaborated with Netflix for the web series 'Heeramandi'. Moreover, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos attended the launch of 'Heeramandi' as well.

Comparing Bhansali to the Australian filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, Sarandos lauded him for paying "a lot of attention to tiny motions of emotion." He added, "This will excite Indian audiences, and for many people, it will be the first time they see something like this in the globe." He further added that it was an honour to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

'Heeramandi' stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal and Sanjeeda Sheikh. The web series will reportedly focus on the House of Courtesans in 1940s India, with the country's freedom struggle as a backdrop. The release date of 'Heeramandi' has not been announced yet.

The official synopsis of 'Heeramandi' reads, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali brings his majestic signature flair to stories of love and betrayal in the lives of courtesans in pre-independence India."

It has also been reported that Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali would collaborate on a love story.

Moreover, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is reportedly working on 'Inshallah' and 'Baiju Barwa'. According to a report in Pinkvilla, the filmmaker is keen to make the film with the right casting and will also revive on making 'Inshallah.'

Sanjay Leela Bhansali had reportedly big plans of making the remake of the 1952 film 'Baiju Bawra' after the completion of 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' locking Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as the two leads in the film. it was later reported that the project has been shelved.
