Alia Bhatt is gearing up for her upcoming film, Love & War, directed by the acclaimed Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This project is creating quite a buzz as it features real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, alongside Vicky Kaushal in a love triangle. In a recent interview with News18, Alia expressed her enthusiasm for the film, particularly highlighting the reunion of her husband and co-star, Ranbir Kapoor, with the esteemed director, Bhansali.

Alia couldn't contain her excitement about collaborating once again with Bhansali, who previously directed her in the critically acclaimed Gangubai Kathiawadi. She shared, "There are so many layers to look forward to that I'm not sure which one to pick. First and foremost, the pleasure and honour of working with Sanjay sir once again. Under his guidance and gaze… you can go anywhere with him. His attention to detail, and his attention to you. I'm, as an audience, so excited to see him and Ranbir collaborate again after so many years. I'm like, ‘Wow, what that’s going to be like!'"

Bhansali's meticulous approach to filmmaking has always impressed Alia, making her eager to see how he and Ranbir will bring their magic to the screen. The two have a history that dates back to 2005 when Ranbir worked as an Assistant Director on Bhansali's Black. This collaboration paved the way for Ranbir's acting debut in Bhansali's 2007 film, Saawariya.

Alia also spoke about the various combinations of actors in Love & War. She is thrilled to work again with Vicky Kaushal, her co-star from Raazi, and to see the chemistry between Ranbir and Vicky, who shared the screen in the hit film Sanju. "Then there's me and Vicky (Kaushal) coming together again. Ranbir and Vicky again… they created magic with Sanju. A lot of combinations. But of course, at the end of the day, the trick is to keep your head down and work, and not let the other excitement get in the way. The excitement about the film and the material is most important,” Alia emphasized.

Love & War is slated for a 2025 release and marks several exciting reunions. Apart from Ranbir's collaboration with Bhansali, it brings together Alia and Ranbir after their 2022 film Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. Additionally, it reunites Alia with Vicky after Raazi and Ranbir with Vicky after Sanju.
