About Gadar 2:

The movie is set in 1971 and follows the story of Tara Singh as he embarks on a mission to rescue his son from Pakistan. Utkarsh Sharma reprises his role as Jeete, Tara's son in the film. The movie also stars Manish Wadhwa as the primary antagonist and Gaurav Chopra in the role of an Indian Army officer.

Gadar 2 controversy:

The film has also attracted criticism from some quarters, being labelled as a movie with anti-Pakistani sentiments and accused of portraying Muslims in a negative light. In a recent interview, Sunny Deol responded to these allegations, emphasising that movies should be regarded primarily as a source of entertainment rather than subjected to intense analysis and scrutiny.

"Throughout the film, whenever I have portrayed any character, I have never run anyone down. I don't believe in that. Even Tara Singh is not that kind of person, not that kind of character. And I believe in such cinema," he told BBC UK.
