For the unversed, Ameesha Patel has never been paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan in a full-fledged film, with her only appearance alongside him being a cameo role in Farah Khan's 2007 movie ‘Om Shanti Om.’ In the film, she played the leading lady opposite Bollywood superstar Om Kapoor, portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan.
This movie was a parody of Shah Rukh's 2000 film 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani' and humorously connected it to the various 'NRI' films he had worked on during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Ameesha's cameo featured her in a yellow sari, running towards Shah Rukh Khan with the Swiss Alps in the background, set to the tune of the title track from Karan Johar's 1998 romantic comedy 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.' Her appearance was part of an award show segment within the film.
About Jawan:
'Jawan' stars SRK in a dual role, portraying both an intelligence officer and a thief. It has achieved the milestone of crossing Rs 100 crore in just two days following its release, while 'Gadar 2' accomplished the same feat in three days during its opening weekend.
The movie was filmed in various locations, including Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander made his Bollywood debut as a solo composer for the film.
'Jawan' had its global theatrical release on September 7, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. It is directed by Atlee and features Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, along with Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani. Deepika Padukone made an appearance in an extended cameo.
