'Gadar 2' reunited the iconic pair of Tara Singh and Sakina, portrayed by Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. Directed by Anil Sharma, the movie made its theatrical debut on August 11. When questioned by host Rajat Sharma about his tears, the actor responded, "Jis tarah se ye log khush ho rahe hai... jo maine kiya hai... to yakeen nahi ho raha ki main iske layak hoon ya nahi (Considering how delighted these people are... for what I've accomplished in ‘Gadar 2,’ I'm unsure whether I truly deserve it)."
The video footage captured the studio audience expressing their joy by cheering, whistling, and applauding loudly when Sunny entered the set. Sunny subsequently posted a few videos from the forthcoming episode. Within the episode, the actor also addressed the allegations levelled against him by people from Pakistan.
One of them had said, "Bais saal pehle pump ukhada tha toh humare yahaan pani band ho gaya tha, ab khamba ukhada toh bijli aani band ho gay hai (Twenty-two years ago, you removed the hand pump, resulting in a water shortage in our area, and now you've taken out an electric pole, leading to a power shortage here)." To which Sunny said, "Jab Tara Singh (his character in Gadar 2) aata hai apne pariwar ke liye toh usse koi rok nahi sakta (When Tara Singh comes to save his family, no one can stop him)."
About Gadar 2:
In 'Gadar 2,' the storyline revolves around Tara Singh embarking on a bold mission to rescue his son, played by Utkarsh Sharma, who has been taken captive in Pakistan. Set in Lahore in 1971, the film effectively continues the tradition of its predecessor with its thrilling action sequences, all while portraying Tara Singh's unwavering anger towards those who incite discord between India and Pakistan.
It serves as a follow-up to 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,' a 2001 movie that unfolded against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition of India.
