Star Plus popular show Anupamma has been grabbing eyeballs for several reasons among them lead actress Rupali Ganguly is one of the reason behind it. The actress made headlines for the serious allegations made by her stepdaughter. Amid all the controversies, a tragic incident took place on the sets of Anupamma. A camera assistant died from an electric shock. The reports suggest that the victim was on duty at the Goregaon Film City when the incident occurred. 

Notably, he was a focus puller, who newly joined the show. He was rushed to the hospital immediately but succumbed to injuries from the short circuit. This created a major point of concern for the people belonging to the industry. The cast also mourned the death of the victim. No, statement of the same has been made yet. 

Coming back to Rupali Ganguly, she recently filed a defamation suit against her stepdaughter for Maligning her public image. The official statement from the actress’ lawyer read, “We have issued a defamation notice to her stepdaughter in response to her false and damaging statements as Rupali Ganguly firmly stands against the use of defamatory tactics for Publicity and she has taken this legal step to protect her reputation from unfounded claims. These baseless allegations were clearly intended to harm Rupali Ganguly’s reputation and capitalise on her public standing. Such actions have not only caused emotional distress but have also unfairly tarnished her personal and professional integrity.” 

The controversy erupted after Rupali’s stepdaughter Esha Verma’s Facebook post from 2020 went viral. In the post, she alleged that Rupali is ‘controlling’ and ‘abusive’ to her father and also gave death threats to her and her mother. Not only, that she also mentioned that the actress gives strange medications to her father. Initially, the actress kept mum on the same but when things went out of control she filed a defamation case against Esha.
