Oscar-winner composer AR Rahman is in the midst of a controversy after his Chennai concert hosted on September 10, titled, ‘Marakkuma Nenjam.’ The concert was heavily called out for poor management by the ACTC Events which caused a stampede-like situation in which women were allegedly molested and children were displaced. The event company as well as the team of the singer promised to refund the amount to people who were denied entry due to overcrowding.

Now, the singer is being called out in the midst of the backlash for his ‘insensitive’ behaviour as he shared a video including the glimpses from the night, but turned off the comment section of his post. AR Rahman’s concert was held at the Adityaram Palace in Chennai on September 10. The concert was organised by ACTC Events and witnessed over 45,000 people in attendance.
