Bholaa Shankar OTT Release Date, Cast, Budget: All You Need To Know About This Highly Anticipated Chiranjeevi-Starrer

Bholaa Shankar OTT Release Date: 'Bholaa Shankar' is an eagerly anticipated movie in Telugu cinema, with megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role. The renowned actor is riding high on the success of his previous film, 'Waltair Veerayya,' which achieved massive box office success, earning over Rs 120 crores in share. The film is being helmed by director Meher Ramesh and produced by Anil Sunkara under his banner, Ak Entertainments.

Meher Ramesh, a distant relative of Chiranjeevi, has a long-standing association with the megastar. Despite the lack of successful projects in recent times, Chiranjeevi trusted him to direct the remake of Ajith's ‘Vedhalam,’ offering him a golden opportunity.

This decision also gave Anil Sunkara, a prominent producer who had been eager to collaborate with Chiranjeevi for a considerable period, a chance to helm this high-budget drama. The film has been reportedly made on a budget of Rs 80 crores. Nonetheless, Chiranjeevi decided to waive his remuneration for the film and instead opted for a share in the profits.

Bholaa Shankar Cast:

Ever since the announcement of 'Bholaa Shankar,' there has been much speculation about who would portray Chiranjeevi's sister in the film. Initially, Nayanthara was approached for the role, but she turned it down. Subsequently, Keerthy Suresh was approached and she accepted the offer.

Additionally, Tamannah Bhatia has been cast to play Chiranjeevi's love interest in the movie. The film also features Akkineni Sushanth, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Brahmanandam, Tarun Arora, Sayaju Shinde, Raghu Babu, and others in significant roles.

Initially planned for an April 2023 release as a summer special, the makers of 'Bholaa Shankar' later reconsidered and chose Independence weekend as an ideal time to capitalise on the holiday season.

As a result, they decided to release the film on August 11, 2023. Consequently, 'Bholaa Shankar' is set to clash with Rajinikanth's 'Jailer,' which is scheduled to release a day earlier, on August 10.

The trailer of 'Bholaa Shankar' was unveiled by actor Ram Charan on July 28. The preview showcased Chiranjeevi in an extraordinary mass avatar. The movie is set in Kolkata and features Chiranjeevi as a cab driver with a mysterious background. The trailer was replete with stylish action and heartfelt emotions, prominently featuring Keerthy Suresh. Overall, it garnered a mixed response from the audience.

The film boasts cinematography by Dudley and music composed by Mahati Swara Sagar. Three songs from the movie have already been released, which created immense buzz on social media. Marthand K Venkatesh served as the film's editor, and the story has been penned by Siva and Adi Narayana. Sekhar Master has choreographed two songs in the film.

Zee Studios has taken up the distribution of 'Bholaa Shankar' and the action drama is set to stream on Zee5, and according to the latest information. It is scheduled for a digital release in the first week of October. The makers have reportedly sold the OTT rights at a substantial price, making it a lucrative deal.
