Rajpal Yadav has won the hearts of the audience over decades now with his different shades of roles. One of his iconic characters is Chota Pandit from Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The actor will be soon reprising the role in the third instalment. His character was the one who saw the OG ghost Manjulika in the first part and since then he faced difficulties. Which also layered the different shades of Chota Pandit in the sequel. So, what’s new this time in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3? Here is what Rajpal said about his character.
In an interview with ANI, Rajpal said “He isn't just a character but a caricature, a comic archetype. In our Indian culture, Bharat Muni's 'Natya Shastra' envisioned such characters, like sutradhaar (narrator) and vidushak (clown). Chota Pandit embodies that, a character who mocks no one but himself, providing comic relief in the story.”
“You've seen him in different hues--red in the first film and white in the second to protect himself from fire. Now, he appears covered in sandalwood paste to cleanse himself of all negativity, bringing a fresh, humorous dimension.” he added.
Talking about his working experience with Kartik Aaryan again in the third instalment, Yadav said “We share a great bond, and working with him has been a joyful experience with many memorable moments.”
He also shared his working experience with Madhuri Dixit. He said, “I've wanted to work with her for so long, having admired her in many films. I'm grateful to the makers for this chance. She's added grace and charm to the story, making it a wonderful experience to work with both Madhuri and Vidya.”
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Tripti Dimri, Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra and Manish Wadhwa in key roles. The movie is set to be released on November 1. It will have box office clash with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again.
