Who Is Maxtern?
Maxtern aka Sagar Thakur, a student at IIT Kharagpur and a popular YouTuber, is known for his channel where he mixes humor with commentary and his gaming channel 'Maxtern'. With 998K Instagram followers, he gained significant attention in March when he accused Elvish Yadav of threatening him. Thakur alleged in a video that Yadav, accompanied by a group, had threatened his life and claimed he was injured during the altercation. He also posted a video showing Yadav allegedly assaulting him.
"Bhaisaab, jaan se maarne ki dhamki de gaye hain. Main toh akela tha. Elvish bhai saath mein bahut saare bande laaye the. Toh iske main full video subah daaltu hu acche se. Sab dekhna kya hua. Hamare pass bhi recording hai. Main toh theek hu bas yahan (lip) par chot aaye hai. Yeh bhi 8 logo se ladne ke baad aaye hai," he claimed in a video statement.
Sagar Thakur lodged an FIR against Elvish Yadav, accusing him of attempting to break his spine and cause permanent disability. In response, Elvish Yadav released a video countering the allegations, claiming that the incident was staged. Yadav argued that Thakur had set up hidden microphones and cameras at their meeting place and had been harassing him for months with negative posts. Yadav also accused Thakur of threatening to burn him and his family, which escalated their dispute. The tension between them seemed to ease when Elvish posted a photo with Maxtern, both smiling, and later collaborated on a music video titled ‘Rao Sahab Rollin’.
