JE Entertainment Desk: BLACKPINK member Jennie has been working back to back recently as she made her acting debut, attended Met Gala 2023 and Cannes Film Festival. Recently, she had to leave a concert in Melbourne, Australia midway due to ill health. As she left the show early, BLINKS expressed their concerns about Jennie's health.

YG Entertainment shared an official statement on Weverse on Jennie's health and apologised to fans. "Hello, we're YG Entertainment. During the BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN MELBOURNE concert on June 11th (today), she couldn't be on stage until the end due to her poor condition. We apologize to the fans who supported BLACKPINK and came to the venue, and we ask for your understanding," the statement reads.

It adds, "Jennie showed her willingness to push ahead with the performance until the end, but immediately took measures to ensure sufficient rest and stability with the recommendation of medical staff on the spot. Jenny felt sorry for not being able to stay with her fans until the end and expressed her intention to recover quickly. We will do our best to support Jenny to recover her condition as soon as possible. I ask for your understanding once again. Thank You."

Meanwhile, as per reports, Jennie will be joining Marvel for the series 'Team Agents Of Atlas’ which will be the first Asian superhero team. The K-pop star will reportedly play the role of Luna Snow in the show. Some Marvel actors also followed Jennie on Instagram including Claudia Kim, Benedict Wong and Fala Chen.

Jennie also made her acting debut in the show 'The Idol'. She also made her Cannes debut as 'The Idol' was screened at the film festival. Talking about the same, Jennie said, “It’s overwhelming, but I’m grateful and thankful. All of those things at the same time. Especially as it’s the first step in my acting career, I was honoured to be able to come.”

She added, “It was an opportunity to just be myself and be brave. I didn’t really train for it, or prep anything...Sam wanted me to just be myself.”

'The Idol' revolves around a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult who enters into a complicated relationship with a rising pop idol. It is set against the backdrop of the music industry. The show stars The Weekend and Lily-Rose Depp in the lead role.

The series also stars Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Jane Adams, Dan Levy, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Hari Nef, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Mike Dean, Ramsey, and Hank Azaria.
