BLACKPINK Rosé continues to soar in her solo career as her latest hit, APT, achieves a monumental milestone. The track, a collaboration with American singer Bruno Mars, has tied with BTS' golden maknae Jungkook’s Seven as the only song by Kpop acts to top the Billboard Global Excl. US chart for an impressive 9 weeks. According to Billboard’s latest update, ‘APT’ debuted at No. 1 on the Global Excl. US chart on November 2 and maintained its position for nine consecutive weeks. This incredible feat places Rosé alongside Jungkook, who achieved the same milestone with his hit single ‘Seven’ featuring Latto.

BLACKPINK Rose and BTS Jungkook now join an elite group of global stars, including Olivia Rodrigo, Gayle, The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber, who have reached similar chart-topping success.

Released on October 18, 2, ‘APT’ draws inspiration from a popular Korean drinking game. Initially hesitant about its theme, Rosé embraced the track after witnessing the overwhelming love from fans. The retro-infused collaboration with Bruno Mars turned into an instant global sensation, breaking records and winning hearts.

The song’s success extends beyond charts. It became the biggest male-female debut duet of 2024, surpassing Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s ‘Fortnight.’ On YouTube, ‘APT’ shattered records by reaching 300 million, 400 million, 500 million, and 600 million views faster than any other song.

‘APT’ has been named the Song of the Year by Gallup Korea’s annual public survey. Additionally, the song’s popularity led to a 190% surge in streams of Yoon Soo Il’s 1982 hit ‘Apartment,’ with the veteran singer expressing gratitude for the renewed interest.

‘APT’ serves as the pre-release track for Rosé’s first studio album, ‘rosie,’ which was released on December 6. The album features 12 tracks, including her record-breaking collaboration with Bruno Mars.
