Following Team India's win, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan posted on his official X account, stating, "When I don't watch, we WIN!" Subsequently, Big B received warnings on social media regarding his influence on the team's performance.

Many hilariously warned him to not watch the match on Sunday. A user wrote, "Don’t watch final match sir." Another added, "Let’s do some arrangement to lock him into a remote island on the day of World Cup final." A third comment read, "Request you to NOT TO WATCH Final Also."

Virat Kohli's record-breaking 50th century and Shami's seven-wicket haul played crucial roles as India triumphed over New Zealand. Virat's remarkable 117, along with Shreyas Iyer's fiery 105, helped India reach the total of 397 run for four after they elected to bat first. In response, New Zealand, who had bested India in the 2019 edition at the same stage, managed 327 all out in the 49th over despite Daryl Mitchell's valiant innings of 134.

India's dominant display secured their spot in the World Cup final. This match showcased Kohli's batting prowess, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's record for the most centuries in ODIs.
