Katrina Kaif, known for her stunning beauty and acting prowess, recently revealed her personal struggles with the unrealistic beauty standards prevalent in Bollywood. In a conversation with Hello! India, the 40-year-old actress candidly discussed the pressure to conform to a certain standard of beauty since her debut in the industry with the 2003 film ‘Boom’.

Katrina admitted that she has often felt stifled and intimidated by these beauty standards, which can be relentless and unrealistic. She shared an instance where she was fussing over her appearance before an event, trying to fix something she didn't like, when her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal, humorously reminded her of her makeup brand's tagline, "It's Kay to Be You."

"It can be really, really confusing to retain and to maintain your sense of individuality and know who you are, not who you are in comparison to what everyone else is doing or saying around you," Katrina said, reflecting on the importance of self-belief, clarity of thought, determination, and understanding one's own thoughts, desires, and goals.
