The Archies Trailer: After keeping fans on their toes for a long, the makers have finally released the trailer of 'The Archies.' Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the movie boasts an impressive ensemble cast, featuring the debut of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan daughter Suhana Khan, Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, alongside Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Yuvraj Menda and Aditi Dot. The film promises to take back viewers to the beloved comic world of Archie and his friends.

The over 2-minute-long clip begins with introducing the lead characters with Suhana playing Veronica, Khushi as Betty, and Agastya in the role of Archie. The gang is depicted enjoying their teenage years with elements of fun, music, and style. However, as is often the case in stories, a twist unfolds, compelling the friends to unite more robustly than ever.
Touted as a coming-of-age musical, the story revolves around the lives of iconic characters such as Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel, and Dilton. In addition to the mentioned debutantes, the film also features Mihir Ahuja, Dot., Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda, making it a star-studded ensemble. 'The Archies' takes fans to the year 1906, when the familiar teenagers of Riverdale engage in young romance, friendship, skating and dancing. However, the tranquility of their lives is disrupted when Veronica's father starts implementing ambitious business expansion plans. This prompts the group to unite and work together to safeguard their beloved town.

Zoya Akhtar directorial will be released on Netflix, that will take audiences to the fictional hilly town of Riverdale on the 7th of December 2023. Seen through the lens of the unique Anglo-Indian community. It explores friendship, freedom, love, heartbreak and rebellion. It will see Agastya as Archie Andrews, Suhana as Veronica Lodge, Vedang Raina as Reggie Mantle, Khushi as Betty Cooper, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Dot as Ethel Muggs, and Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley.
It is an Indian adaptation of a popular comic book by the same name and is backed by Tiger Baby Productions and Graphic India. The teaser for the film dropped at the Netflix global fan event TUDUM in Sao Paulo, Brazil, earlier this year.
