On Thursday, Shah Rukh Khan, made an exciting announcement through a video posted on various social media platforms. In the video, he shared the news about the OTT release of his latest movie ‘Dunki’ which is now available for streaming on OTT juggernaut Netflix.

What made this announcement particularly surprising and heartwarming was Shah Rukh Khan's endearing confession during the video. He openly expressed his deep affection for the widely celebrated Kpop band BTS. SRK humorously mentioned that he was the one who taught Koreans the gesture of making heart symbols. Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Dunki' is currently streaming on Netflix. The movie revolves around the concept of "donkey flight," an illegal immigration method. Directed and edited by Rajkumar Hirani, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon, the film was produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Starring in the film are Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani.

'Dunki' made its debut in theaters worldwide on December 21, 2023. The movie achieved remarkable success, earning over ₹470 crore (equivalent to US$59 million) globally, surpassing its production and marketing expenses of ₹120 crore (approximately US$15 million). This achievement positioned it as the sixth highest-grossing Hindi film and the eighth highest-grossing Indian film of 2023. At the prestigious 69th Filmfare Awards, "Dunki" received nine nominations and secured the title of Best Supporting Actor for Kaushal.
