BTS Jhope, also known as Jung Hoseok, is set to be discharged from the military within the next ten days on October 17, 2024. As the second BTS member to complete his mandatory military service, his upcoming discharge has sent ARMYs into a frenzy. Taking to Weverse, Jhope shared a post that simply read, “D-10,” along with an adorable photo of his military bag and tags. The message instantly garnered attention and fans showered him with love and excitement for his return.

The camaraderie between BTS members was on full display when Jin, the eldest member of the group, left a playful comment under Jhope’s Weverse post. Jin, also known as Kim Seokjin, wrote, “Wowww, have you seen a cheeky friend like this?” His humorous response lit up the comment section, with fans expressing their anticipation for the reunion of the ‘2 Seoks’—a nickname referring to Jin and Jhope, as both share the character ‘Seok’ in their Korean names.

ARMYs are now eagerly counting down the days until they can see the two reunited. Many fondly recall the special moments shared by the duo and are excited for more interactions once Jhope is officially back. The anticipation isn’t just for Jhope’s return but also the group’s eventual reunion. With all seven members set to complete their service by 2025, fans are already looking forward to what BTS might have in store once they regroup.

Jhope enlisted in the military in April 2023, following Jin’s enlistment in December 2022. Jin completed his service earlier this year in June 2024 and has since been actively engaging in various projects. He has made several appearances on variety shows and is working on his debut solo album, which is reportedly in its final production stages. Jin is also set to make a special appearance in Netflix’s variety show Kian’s Bizarre B&B, further showcasing his versatility.

For Jhope, his service did not deter him from staying connected with his fans. He released a special OST album and a documentary titled HOPE ON THE STREET, which is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The documentary offers a glimpse into Jhope’s passion for dance and the underground hip-hop scene. Additionally, fans can revisit his journey in the j-hope IN THE BOX documentary, which chronicles the first 200 days of the production of his debut solo album, Jack in the Box.

With Jhope’s discharge just days away, ARMYs are reminiscing about the time when all the members came together to celebrate Jin’s return. They’re hoping for a similar welcome this time, especially with RM, who previously delighted fans by playing the saxophone to mark Jin’s discharge. While there is no official word on whether all members will gather for Jhope’s return, the possibility is enough to keep fans excited.

Jin and Jhope’s bond has always been cherished by ARMYs, and their reunion symbolizes a step closer to the complete reunion of all seven members. With RM, Suga, V, Jimin and Jungkook expected to complete their service by 2025, the dream of seeing BTS together again seems closer than ever.
