BTS Jhope is embracing 2025 with optimism and excitement. As the new year begins, the Kpop idol shared a heartfelt letter to ARMYs, reflecting on the past year while looking forward to the future. He also bid farewell to 2024 with a nostalgic post on Instagram, filled with memorable moments.
In a letter shared on January 5 via Weverse, Jhope opened up about his mixed emotions throughout 2024. He revealed that his time in the military was challenging, especially leading up to his discharge. "I didn't know how to endure it till October... I was worried about my plans after I would be discharged from the military," he admitted, expressing the mental battle he faced.
However, upon his return home, Jhope’s spirits were lifted. "I was filled with hope and joy," he shared, eager to move forward. He emphasized that 2025 would be a crucial year for him, with many exciting projects in the works. "It's going to be a very important year for me," he wrote, expressing his anticipation for the months ahead.

Alongside the letter, Jhope shared a series of photos on Instagram, bidding farewell to 2024 with the caption "Adios 2024." The post captured special moments from the previous year, including a photo with his fellow soldiers during his military service and a video of the streets lined with banners welcoming his return.

ARMYs were also thrilled to see behind-the-scenes glimpses of Jhope’s studio recording session, fueling excitement for his upcoming music. Additionally, he posted a picture with IU from the backstage of her encore concert in Seoul and shared a photo of ILLIT’s signed mini-album, a thoughtful gift from the girl group.
In October 2024, Jhope completed his 18-month mandatory military service and quickly returned to his solo endeavors. He even threw the first pitch at the Korean Series baseball game between the KIA Tigers and Samsung Lions. Jhope will reunite with his BTS members in June 2025 and fans can’t wait to see what the future holds for the talented rapper.
