BTS Jin is set to make his much-anticipated return to television in the upcoming episode of the popular South Korean variety show Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this episode, which will air on MBC on August 19, 2024, at 9 PM KST. In the recently released preview trailer, Jin is seen engaging in various activities on a remote island alongside his co-star. The video teases moments of both fun and challenges, including Jin’s attempts at fishing and manual labour. However, things don’t always go smoothly; Jin struggles to catch fish and even suffers a minor injury while working. Despite this, the show’s hosts are quick to attend to him, ensuring his safety and comfort.
This appearance marks Jin’s first TV role since his military discharge on June 13, 2024. Following his return, he participated in BTS’ 11th-anniversary celebrations during FESTA 2024, reconnecting with fans at Jamsil Arena. Now, his upcoming appearance on Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island has fans excited to see him back on screen.

Jin, who debuted with BTS in 2013, ventured into solo music with his 2022 single, The Astronaut. With this variety show appearance, Jin is set to reestablish himself in the entertainment world. Additionally, discussions are underway for Jin to release self-produced content in collaboration with BIGHIT Music, where he will likely be seen exploring various outdoor activities. As for the rest of the BTS members, they are currently fulfilling their mandatory military service and are expected to be discharged in 2025.
