BTS Suga has been making headlines after his DUI incident in August. He was criticised a lot for his behaviour by some netizens on social media but his fans supported their idol during his tough time. On August 6, Suga was found riding an electric scooter while under the influence of alcohol. As per reports, the Seoul Court has fined 15 million KRW (Rs 941, 272) to the BTS member. Now, Suga is free from the DUI case.
The Court has issued a summary order imposing a fine of ₩15 million KRW (approximately $11,200 USD/ Rs 941, 272) for the DUI incident. As per reports, the amount matches with the prosecution's earlier request to the court on September 11. Summary orders are mostly used for less severe cases. The reports also suggest that if the BTS member chooses to contest the same, he will have seven more days from the order to request a formal trial.
A fan page of the BTS member wrote on X, “K-News reports that a summary judgement has been issued for Suga of BTS. The judgement is to pay a fine of 15M won (11,500 USD). Summary judgements are procedures used by the court for minor infractions, thereby bypassing a trial. If the party accepts, then the case closes.”

Fans’ Reactions On BTS Suga's DUI Case
A fan wrote, “15 M Won??? Are they crazy? Why is the fine so high?” A netizens replied, “Important lessons! Suga's case highlights the responsibility that comes with fame. It’s great to see him taking accountability and moving forward!” A tweet read, “11500$ for just falling of a scooter is crazy.....they milking the h#ll out of this incident.” Another tweet said, “Wondering what is he getting fined for since they said what he was driving was not a vehicle? If it isn't a vehicle they can't actually fine him for drunk driving (which was never confirmed by anyone, having drunk doesn't necessarily mean you are drunk).” Another user tweeted, “That's a bit much for falling off of a scooter isn't it? Am I missing something here.”
