JE Entertainment Desk: BTS released its much-awaited single Take Two on June 9 in order to mark its 10th anniversary. Now, just a couple of weeks after the song's release, 'Take Two' has successfully landed on various Billboard charts. First, for the week ending June 24, the song reached the top spot on both the "Global 200" list and the "Global Excl. U.S." chart. 'Take Two' is BTS's seventh overall single to peak at number one on the "Global 200."
Furthermore, 'Take Two' gained another entry on the main Billboard single chart this week after debuting on the "Hot 100" list for the week of June 24 at $48.
Take Two features all seven members -Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Soon after the single was released online, BTS' fans (known as ARMYs) got emotional and dropped heartfelt reactions on social media. The title of the song also honours the group's beginning of its second phase following a decade-long career as a Korean boy band. The song's entire production was handled by BTS member SUGA, while its lyrics were written by RM and J-Hope. The song was recorded before Jin and J-Hope left for their military training.
