BTS member V aka Kim Taehyung is currently serving in the military but has been grabbing the headlines despite his absence from the limelight. The singer made his most awaited solo album debut with 'Layover', which became a chartbuster and also collaborated with American singer and songwriter UMI for the song 'Wherever U R'. V has now won the Best Male Entertainment Idol of the Year at Korea’s First Brand Awards 2024 and BTS ARMY is over the moon.

The tags like 'Congratulation Taehyung' and 'First Brand Award 2024 Winner V' and 'Idol Entertainment V' have been trending on social media as fans rejoiced over V's big win.

On the work front, V released the song ''Wherever U R' on December 30, 2023 and teamed up with American singer and songwriter UMI. The song started trending on the music charts worldwide including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada immediately after its release.

While talking about the song, UMI earlier said, "It's a song that a loved one sends to everyone in various times and places. It serves as a reminder that love is a frequency that can be felt regardless of distance."

V, who is serving in the military, penned a heartfelt note for his fans and expressed his love and admiration for his fans. He wrote on Weverse, "I think I'm going to miss you so much. To be honest, it's a real shame that I can't have any more happy memories with ARMYs for some time, if it wasn't for that one thing it would be okay, but not being able to see ARMYs is the hardest. For a long time that is 18 months, I will become really healthy and come back so ARMYs, please take care of your health too. and if day by day you find things to be happy about, I'll appear once again like 'tada! I'm here!'. and also I have prepared various things for during those 18 months so please look forward to it."

Talking about V's album 'Layover', it has six songs: 'For You', 'Blue', 'Slow Dancing', 'Rainy Days', 'Love Me Again' and 'Slow Dancing (Piano Version).
