What Vishal Has To Say About Mark Antony?

In a conversation with indianexpress.com, Vishal revealed why his movie can attract the audience. The actor asserted, “This is the first time I am doing a dual role in 19 years. After 32 films, I get to do two roles in a movie – father and son. It’s a time travel movie. You get a film like this once in five or ten years, which is convincing not only to the city audience but also reaching out to the rural viewers.”

Mark Antony Is CGI-Heavy

As 'Mark Antony' is a time-travel movie, it is CGI-heavy. Vishal said, "Roughly 3,000 shots were given for CG," when speaking about the same. Therefore, if a scenario in a car is being filmed, the ancient Mardras can be seen on the left side of the screen.”

What Experts Have To Say?

Noted marketing strategist and film analyst Siddarth Srinivas said, “Jawan will do well on Saturday and Sunday. If Mark Antony gets a good WOM it'll attract more youth-audience but the majority of the family audiences will still watch Jawan only, as it is currently doing well.” He further added, “The hype around Mark Antony is only from the trailer, and is likely to pull in the college going movie lovers, The movie is likely to do a business of 5-7 crores on day one in Tamil Nadu, and another 3 crores from the rest of India.”

Sathish Kumar said, “A film starring Vishal in the lead usually earns about 5 crores in Tamil Nadu, however this film may earn 6 crores. I don't think the film will face competition from Jawan, as this is a full-fledged Tamil movie. I can tell you that it definitely has more hype than Chandramukhi 2.”
