Avengers Doomsday: Marvel is all set to bring a new chapter of the Avengers franchise. Ever since the announcement, Marvel and Avenger fans are eagerly awaiting for new development. To generate more excitement actor Anthony Mackie, who plays the role of Captain America in Marvel Cinematic Universe, teased everyone by revealing that Russo Brothers’ latest addition is going to bring back the old vibes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In a recent IGN interview, Anthony Mackie hinted that the Avengers Doomsday marks a return to form for the Marvel franchise, thanks to the Russo brothers' direction. He was quoted by Variety, saying, “We’re supposed to go out this week, and we’ll be out there doing it,” Mackie said. “Everybody’s excited. I feel with the script and having the Russo brothers back, it’s going to be great. I’m really excited for what this project is going to be. It’s going to give the audience that old Marvel feeling that they always had."
About Avengers Doomsday
The upcoming American superhero film is set to release in theatres on May 1, 2026, and features an all-star roster of past Marvel heroes. The confirmed star cast of Avengers Doomsday include Chris Hemsworth, Danny Ramirez, Sebastian Stan and Paul Rudd. Robert Downey Jr. will also return for Doomsday, he will be seen as the main antagonist in the movie. The film Doomsday brings together iconic stars from the X-Men series, including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer (Beast), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), James Marsden (Cyclops), and Rebecca Romijn (Mystique). Avengers Doomsday has been directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. Written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. It is backed by Kevin Feige, Anthony Russo and Joe Russo.
Before Doomsday hits theaters, Marvel is set to release two films in 2025 including Thunderbolts starring Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan and others on May 2 and Pedro Pascal starrer The Fantastic Four: First Steps on July 25.
