Captain Miller Box Office Collection Day 1: Dhanush's film and Sivakarthikeyan's 'Ayalaan' hit the theaters on the occasion of Pongal in 2024, marking the first-ever box office clash between the two actors. Following a tremendous response from the early shows on the first day, reservations for both 'Captain Miller' and 'Ayalaan' have seen a significant uptick. Early estimates suggest that Dhanush released on January 12, has achieved an impressive box office figure of approximately Rs 8.65 crore in India. Despite facing tough competition from other releases like 'Guntur Kaaram,' 'Merry Christmas,' 'HanuMan,' and 'Ayalaan,' the film performed well on its opening day. The clash with Sivakarthikeyan's 'Ayalaan' resulted in 'Captain Miller' emerging victorious at the box office.
The movie, made on a reported budget of Rs 50 crore, demonstrated an overall occupancy of 40.99 per cent in Tamil, 6.92 per cent in Hindi, and 7.94 per cent in Kannada on its first day. The positive response and substantial box office collection indicate a successful start for 'Captain Miller.'
Captain Miller' has hit the screens on more than 460 screens in Tamil Nadu, contributing to an overall screen count exceeding 1500. Similarly, 'Ayalaan' boasts a nearly equivalent number of screens in Tamil, but its overall screen count falls slightly short. The films, belonging to different genres, have both enjoyed a grand opening.
