Cha Eun Woo, the talented Kpop idol and actor, recently honoured his late ASTRO bandmate Moonbin with a heartfelt tribute on his birthday. Their bond went beyond professional camaraderie, built over years of performing and growing together as members of ASTRO.
On January 26, 2025, Cha Eun Woo took to Instagram to share a touching post for Moonbin. The post featured a series of photos, including a memorial table adorned with Moonbin’s favourite snacks and cherished pictures of the two together. The caption read, “Happy birthday. I miss you,” offering a glimpse into the depth of their friendship.
In addition to the photos, Cha Eun Woo posted a video of himself performing Shin Seung Hoon’s emotional song For a Long Time Afterwards. The performance, filled with raw emotion, ended with Cha Eun Woo softly saying, “Happy Moonbin Day,” as tears welled up in his eyes.

Moonbin’s sudden passing on April 19, 2023, left fans and the Korean entertainment industry in mourning. To honour his memory, a long-term memorial space has been established at Gukcheongsa Temple in Namhansanseong, where fans can visit and pay their respects.
Cha Eun Woo, known for his roles in popular Kdramas like True Beauty, Gangnam Beauty and A Good Day to Be a Dog, started his journey as a Kpop idol with ASTRO in 2016. In February 2024, he embarked on a solo career, releasing his first album and performing live for fans at his solo concert, Just One Minute [Mystery Elevator], held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium.
Currently, Cha Eun Woo is appearing in the variety show Rented in Finland, alongside Lee Je Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon and Lee Dong Hwi. Despite his busy schedule, his tribute to Moonbin reflects the enduring bond he shares with his late bandmate, reminding fans of the precious moments they created together.
