Speculation about Deepika Padukone joining Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan in the highly-anticipated film King has sparked significant excitement among fans. However, director Siddharth Anand seems to have other casting plans. His latest post on X suggests that all the rumors are false. With a cryptic post, he put an end to all speculations.

Deepika Padukone Not Part of Shah Rukh Khan's King

Amid the ongoing buzz, Siddharth Anand took to X and shared a post that simply read, “False.” Soon after, netizens expressed their thoughts on his post. One user wrote, "Does it mean, #DeepikaPadukone is not in #KING???" Another user commented, "Bring someone from the South Industry." Another user posted, "If this is an authentic account of Siddharth Anand sir, then it is really good news. No doubt, Deepika is a good actress, but casting her again and again opposite SRK is something that really ruffles our feathers now. Please consider someone else like Anushka Shetty... Samantha..."

Kingdirector

Interestingly, the film titled King will reunite SRK and Siddharth Anand, who previously worked together on the blockbuster Pathaan.

This speculation started after several reports circulated, claiming that Deepika Padukone would play the mother of Suhana Khan’s character and a former lover of Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming action thriller King. A Peeping Moon report mentioned that she would have an extended cameo in the movie. "Her character is integral to the plot and serves as the primary conflict in the storyline," the report also stated.

Shah Rukh and Deepika have previously collaborated on movies like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Brahmāstra, Pathaan, and Jawan. If Siddharth Anand's post is to be believed, fans won’t see the duo reunite in King. The film also stars Abhay Verma and Abhishek Bachchan and is expected to hit theaters by the end of 2026.
