Ranveer Singh has given his fans a special gift on his 40th birthday – the official teaser of his upcoming action-thriller Dhurandhar is finally out. The teaser has already taken the internet by storm with its powerful visuals, high-energy fight scenes, and a gripping storyline. Helmed by Aditya Dhar, celebrated for his work in Uri The Surgical Strike, this much-anticipated movie is expected to be one of the biggest releases of 2025.
Director Aditya Dhar took to his Instagram to shared the official teaser with the caption, “Uncover the story of unknown men and their unstoppable fight! #Dhurandhar – first look out now. In cinemas 5th December 2025.” The movie is slated to hit theatres on 5th December 2025.

In the teaser, Ranveer Singh is seen in a rugged and intense avatar, living a quiet life in Pakistan. But he is no ordinary man—he’s an undercover Indian agent, and the teaser shows glimpses of his action-packed mission. The fight scenes are full of energy, keeping the audience glued to the screen. We also get to see Sanjay Dutt in his signature gangster style, while Arjun Rampal appears in a bold new look with a bald head, playing another villainous role. The movie also stars R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Yami Gautam, adding even more excitement to the cast.
Is Dhurandhar Movie Based On True Story?
The movie is inspired by real-life events, specifically the secret missions led by India’s current National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. Set in the 1970s and 1980s, the story follows one of India’s first undercover agents who played a key role in shaping India’s intelligence network. While Ranveer plays the secret agent, R. Madhavan takes on the role of Ajit Doval.

Box Office Clash
Dhurandhar is not the only big movie releasing in December. It’s set to clash at the box office with Prabhas’ Raja Saab and Shahid Kapoor’s Romeo. However, recent reports suggest that Romeo might move to January 2026 to avoid a three-way clash.
