Allu Arjun thanked a Bollywood director for preventing a box office conflict with his Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 6 of last year without disclosing the Hindi movie's title. The original release date for the Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava was set for December 6, 2024.

Allu Arjun made his first appearance after his arrest and release on bail in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case on Saturday at a Pushpa 2 success meet in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the event, Allu Arjun recalled calling the makers of Chhaava to thank them. He said, "When I called up one of the filmmakers from Bollywood, from Hindi cinema, I'm not a fan of that word Bollywood. In Hindi cinema, I called somebody and I said, they were also supposed to come on December 6. They were very accommodative, and they moved from that date. I personally called them and thanked them for moving the date, and they said, 'We're all fans of Pushpa,' and if you come, then we will make way for it."

Allu Arjun also thanked director Sukumar and the audience, calling Pushpa 'not just a film but an emotion' post its blockbuster success.

"I want to dedicate the entire efforts and success of the film to all my fans, and my army. Thank you for your love and support, I'll make you all more mad mad mad mad proud, I promise. This is a good step. I’ll make you all proud with all your love and blessings," he continued. 

Allu Arjun emphasised that director Sukumar's vision and skill were the only factors contributing to Pushpa's success. Everyone in the movie, including himself, were only characters in Sukumar's dream and projections, he said, urging viewers not to be duped into believing otherwise. 

About Pushpa 2: The Rule 

Pushpa 2: The Rule also topped the list of the most watched non-English movies in seven different nations in addition to being the second most watched movie worldwide. Additionally, it placed in the top 10 in 15 other nations worldwide.

Pushpa 2, which was released in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam, starred Allu Arjun as red sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj, Rashmika Mandanna as his wife, and Fahad Faasil as the primary opposing police officer. Additionally, it features significant performances from Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Rao Ramesh, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Sunil.

Pushpa 2: The Rule was a huge hit at the box office, grossing over Rs 1800 crore globally.
