The pre-release event for Lucky Baskhar, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary and directed by Venky Atluri, was held in Hyderabad on Sunday, October 27. The event saw celebrated guests like Vijay Deverakonda and Trivikram Srinivas extending their best wishes to the film’s team. During the event, Dulquer Salmaan expressed his hopes for the film’s success and called Vijay Deverakonda his “lucky charm.” He shared that he hopes the good luck works again, as it did with their previous collaborations in Mahanati and Sita Ramam.

As per a Times Now report, at the event, Vijay reminisced about the moment he met Dulquer Salmaan on the set of Mahanati. He mentioned how their friendship developed over time, and he shared his excitement to support Dulquer’s latest film. Vijay also spoke about his bond with director Trivikram Srinivas, recounting how Trivikram was among the first to notice his potential after Pelli Choopulu and encouraged him by handing him his first check at the Sithara Entertainments office. Reflecting on their journey, Vijay added that he is now working with Trivikram on an upcoming project, VD12, under the same production house.

Director Trivikram Srinivas praised Dulquer’s performance in Lucky Baskhar, expressing how impressed he was by Dulquer’s effortless portrayal of a complex character. He shared that Dulquer brings a fresh energy to the role, and his performance in this film will reveal a new side of his versatility. Trivikram acknowledged Dulquer’s path to stardom as his own rather than merely following in his father Mammootty’s legendary footsteps, calling him a "modern-day great actor." The director added that Lucky Baskhar is relatable to everyone with dreams of adventure, especially for the middle-class audience.

Winning over the Hyderabad audience, Dulquer gave part of his speech in Telugu. The actor humbly referred to Vijay Deverakonda as his "lucky charm," hoping their past luck together will continue with Lucky Baskhar. He mentioned that the film’s storyline, penned by Venky Atluri, is mature and ambitious, which drew him to the project. Dulquer also shared that his family are admirers of Trivikram Srinivas’s work and that his kids are eager to get the director’s autograph.

Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Srikara Studios presenting the film, Lucky Baskhar is set for a grand release on October 31. The film will be available in five languages: Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada, ensuring audiences across regions can enjoy Dulquer’s latest venture.
