Emraan Hashmi recently shared a quirky detail about his life as a Bollywood actor. Known for his on-screen kisses, Emraan disclosed that he had a unique way of making up for his romantic scenes. For every kiss he filmed, he used to buy his wife, Parveen Shahani, a new handbag. However, he admitted that he stopped this practice because the cost of handbags had become too high.
In a conversation with NDTV, Emraan reflected on his days of being dubbed the 'serial kisser' of Bollywood. When asked about his onscreen kisses and whether he still follows the rule of gifting his wife, he joked, "Thankfully, that rule is not there anymore because my bank balance would have ended. You know how much handbags cost these days?!" Despite his playful comments, Emraan clarified that he never hated doing these scenes—it was just part of his job.
Emraan also touched upon how his wife reacts to his intimate scenes. In a past interview, he had shared that Parveen would often be surprised or upset by his on-screen romantic scenes, sometimes even leaving visible marks on him from her reaction. Despite her initial discomfort, Emraan noted that they had reached an understanding. Their agreement now involves Emraan taking Parveen on shopping sprees, where she tends to indulge, sometimes with a hefty price tag.
Last seen in the web series Showtime on Disney+ Hotstar, Emraan Hashmi continues to be loved by his fans for his charms and acting.
