Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo, two of South Korea's most beloved actors, are set to star together in the highly anticipated series Show Business. The new drama, Show Business, delves into the intriguing world of South Korea's broadcasting industry. This project has already created significant buzz, as it marks a potential reunion for Song Hye Kyo and renowned writer Noh Hee Kyung. The duo previously collaborated on popular dramas like Worlds Within (2008) and That Winter, the Wind Blows (2013).
In April, South Korean media confirmed that Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo were in talks for this major television series. Management SOOP, which represents Gong Yoo, has acknowledged that he is considering the script, with strong indications pointing to Show Business.
Adding to the excitement, the series is expected to feature other notable actors, including Honey Lee and Kim Seol Hyun. Fans are particularly thrilled about the planned 24-episode run, a rarity in recent Korean dramas. Streaming giants like Netflix and Disney+ are reportedly vying for the rights, further boosting the anticipation.

Interestingly, Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo were once considered for leading roles in the blockbuster drama Descendants of the Sun. Gong Yoo was offered the role of Captain Yoo Shi Jin, which eventually went to Song Joong Ki. This drama became a phenomenon, with Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki's chemistry capturing audiences' hearts, although the couple later divorced in 2019.
Currently, Song Hye Kyo is involved in the film Dark Nuns alongside Jeon Yeo Bin, while Gong Yoo is preparing for the second season of the global sensation Squid Game. Fans are eagerly awaiting their on-screen chemistry in Show Business, hoping for a memorable collaboration.
