Fahadh Faasil made his acting debut in 2002 with the film 'Kaiyethum Doorath,' but it was his performance in the 2009 film 'Kerala Cafe' that garnered attention. Since then, he has delivered a series of critically acclaimed performances in various genres, showcasing his exceptional acting prowess. Some of his notable films include '22 Female Kottayam,' 'North 24 Kaatham,' 'Maheshinte Prathikaaram,' 'Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum,' and 'Kumbalangi Nights.' Now, during a recent press conference, Fahadh Faasil provided details about his role in the upcoming movie alongside superstar Rajinikanth. Addressing reporters, the Malayali actor revealed that he would portray a comedic character in the eagerly awaited film.

Fahadh acknowledged during the press event that his character in 'Vettaiyan' would deviate from the typical villainous roles he typically undertakes in Tamil cinema. Directed by TJ Gnanvel, the film is inspired by a real-life incident. The ensemble cast features renowned actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh, among others.

Rajinikanth's highly anticipated film, 'Vettaiyan', is scheduled to hit theaters in October this year. On April 7, the production house Lyca Productions unveiled a fresh poster of the South Indian superstar, depicting him holding a gun. The caption accompanying the poster reads, "Kuri vechachu. VETTAIYAN is all set to take charge in cinemas this OCTOBER. Get ready to chase down the prey".

During a previous conversation, Rajinikanth mentioned that filming for Gnanavel's 'Vettaiyan' concluded by the end of March. The film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Rajinikanth was previously seen filming at locations including Trivandrum, Tirunelveli, and Tuticorin.

Apart from this, Rajinikanth's most recent appearance was in an extended cameo in the sports drama Lal Salaam. Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film starred Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles.
