Vijay Deverakonda responded to rumours suggesting that he had filed police complaints against individuals trolling his recently released film, 'Family Star', co-starring Mrunal Thakur. Released in both Tamil and Telugu languages and directed by Parasuram Petla, the film elicited mixed reactions from audiences. While some fans appreciated it, others criticised it. Amidst these varying opinions, speculation arose that Vijay, via his manager, had initiated legal action against trolls. The Liger actor clarified that he had not taken any such action.

Film reporter Haricharan Pudipeddi posted on his X handle, sharing a screenshot of his WhatsApp conversation with the actor. In the screenshot, he presents a tweet alleging that Vijay has lodged a police complaint against individuals posting negative reviews of 'Family Star'. The tweet includes a picture of Vijay alongside police officers in what appears to be a press conference. The actor responded with a simple 'nope.' When questioned about the photo, Vijay explained that it was an old picture taken during the Covid-19 period.

Previously, a circulated image depicted a man posing with several police officers while displaying a document. The caption accompanying this picture on X suggested that he is a member of Vijay's team who had filed a police complaint, purportedly on behalf of Vijay, against individuals trolling the actor or criticizing his latest film.

About 'Family Star'

Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Deverakonda bring a new energy to their on-screen chemistry, delivering impressive performances. In addition to the captivating romantic leads, the movie features a talented ensemble cast, with Vasuki, Abhinaya, Ravi Babu, Vennela Kishore, and Rohini Hattangadi playing significant roles. Parasuram Petla takes on the dual responsibility of writer and director for the film, which is produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC) under the guidance of Dil Raju and Sirish.

Vasu Varma serves as the co-writer. Gopi Sundar creates the compelling soundtrack and background score, while cinematography is skillfully handled by K U Mohanan.
