Fawad Khan, a celebrated Pakistani actor and singer, achieved stardom with iconic roles in hit Pakistani dramas like 'Humsafar' and 'Zindagi Gulzar Hai', earning him a dedicated fan base. Later, he successfully transitioned to Bollywood, marking his debut opposite Sonam Kapoor in the 2014 film 'Khoobsurat', where he impressed critics and audiences alike. He continued to shine in Bollywood with memorable performances in films such as 'Kapoor & Sons' and 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'.

As the Pakistani actor is preparing for his upcoming series, 'Barzakh', which delves into themes of love and loss and marks his reunion with actor Sanam Saeed after 12 years, he addressed the possibility of making a comeback to Bollywood. Fawad told India Today, "Yeh toh waqt hi batayega aur haalat batayenge ki kya hoga, kya nahi hoga (Only time and situation will tell)." Adding, "Last time, it was an unfortunate series of events that led to where we are today. But again, I think that only time will tell, and I recently said this as well, when the time is right, things happen on their own." For the unversed, in the aftermath of the 2016 Uri attacks, Pakistani actors halted their engagements in Indian cinema amid heightened geopolitical tensions.

Talking about the ban and possible comeback, Fawad further added, "If not me, then someone else might cross the bridge. There are many talented actors here who will work in India. This show (Barzakh) is, in a way, collaboration and the process has started. Yes, it is on OTT, but the teams have worked together to bring this product to the audience from across the border." On the related note, July 19 marks the premiere of Barzakh on Zindagi's YouTube Premium, with new episodes scheduled to release every Friday over the next eight weeks.

More About Fawad's Bollywood Comeback

There has been recent speculation surrounding Fawad Khan's potential return, with rumours suggesting he might make a comeback through a cameo role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The film has been grabbing headlines since its announcement, following the success of its predecessor, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Apart from its intriguing storyline, audiences are eagerly anticipating the star-studded cast. Reportedly, Fawad also has a Bollywood projects alongside Vaani Kapoor.
