Fighter: Siddharth Anand’s aerial magnum opus is all set to hit the theatres on January 25, 2024. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor and other actors, the movie was at the top of IMDb’s most highly-anticipated Indian films releasing in 2024. The movie is already doing well post its advance bookings were opened. The movie has received a lot of attention for its songs and the trailer. People are loving Roshan and Padukone as IAF pilots and are waiting to experience the film in theatres. 

It is natural to come across several rumours when you have such widespread attention. The latest addition to the long list of rumours is a supposed rift between the lead actor Deepika Padukone and the film's director, Siddharth Anand. Addressing the various rumours and Padukone’s absence from the film promotions, Siddharth Anand while talking to Bollywood Hungama said, “People put a lot of conjectures into things.”

Earlier some reports also claimed that Deepika Padukone unfollowed Siddharth Anand on social media. He said that the promotions would be incomplete without Padukone and that she would be everywhere starting January 23, 2024. His exact statement was “This is a promotional strategy that we have taken. You will start seeing Deepika Padukone from tomorrow (Tuesday) everywhere. People put a lot of conjectures into things. Deepika was supposed to come for the trailer launch, but she was under the weather. And now she is going to be everywhere; our strategy is such.”

He also said, “Obviously, we can’t do without Deepika... Deepika and Hrithik’s pair is one of the major highlights. And it’s a huge excitement for me as a filmmaker to see both of them (together). So, I can imagine that even the audience is waiting for (her). You will start seeing them closer to the release. Also, we didn’t want too much of Hrithik and Deepika before the release. We wanted people to enjoy them on the big screen. We didn’t want that saturation” highlighting the makers' strategy to keep the audiences coming to the cinemas.

Fighter marks Deepika Padukone’s first onscreen collaboration with Hrithik Roshan. The film has already earned Rs 3.66 crores from the advanced bookings for day 1 as per a report by Sacnilk.com.
