Bigg Boss 17: In a recent press conference held inside the Bigg Boss 17 house, Ankita Lokhande shed light on why she frequently brings up the late actor and her former boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput, during her conversations with fellow contestants. The actress expressed that her motivation stems from a deep pride in Sushant's achievements.

Ankita, who dated Sushant for over seven years, clarified that her discussions about the late actor are not a mere whim but are prompted by the admiration of her fellow Bigg Boss 17 finalist, Abhishek Kumar. According to Ankita, Abhishek considers Sushant his idol and aspires to emulate the late actor's success.

Setting the record straight, Ankita stated, "Abhishek and I used to keep talking about Sushant as he considers him his idol and really looks up to him. He wants to be like Sushant and considers him as his inspiration." She further elaborated that her intention is to share positive aspects of Sushant's life and work, leveraging the platform to highlight his commendable contributions.

Addressing criticism about her frequent mentions of Sushant, Ankita emphasized that she only discusses the positive aspects of his life. "I've always talked only good things about Sushant because I feel if I can tell some good things about him through this platform, why not?" she remarked. Ankita underscored her admiration for Sushant's accomplishments, stating, "Usne acche kaam kiye hain (he has done good work), and I can speak about it because jitna main unke baare mein jaanti hoon (as much as I know about him) and I've seen his journey." Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput were the leads on Ektaa Kapoor's TV drama, 'Pavitra Rishta' which aired on Zee TV (2009-2014).

Ankita, who shared a heartfelt connection with Sushant, disclosed that her fondness for him drives her to share positive anecdotes. "And I’ve explained the same about him. I feel very proud to talk about Sushant wherever I am, and there is nothing wrong in talking about Sushant," she asserted.

Despite Ankita's genuine intentions, her mother-in-law Ranjana Jain and husband Vicky Jain, along with others, have expressed concerns about her frequent mentions of Sushant. They believe that Ankita might be doing so to gain sympathy from the viewers. Ankita’s mother had also advised her to be mindful of discussing Sushant too often, considering the matter's sensitivity. 

A press conference promo was released in which people questioned Vicky Jain for his behaviour with Lokhande and why he did not take a stand for his relationship despite being chided by Salman Khan on 'Weekend Ka Vaar'.
