Disha Salian Death Case: As the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has proceeded with the reinvestigation of the death of Disha Salian, former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, new details have emerged in the high-profile case. NDTV reported that an important name was missing in the probe.

The media report suggested that an uknown woman was one of three persons who took Salian to the Shatabdi Hospital after she fell from the 14th-floor of apartment of the Galaxy Regent building in Mumbai on the night of June 8, 2020. Constable Santosh Kachirat Gungune recorded his statement on June 15, 2020, that the hospital told him that she was brought by two men and a woman.

Salian's fiancé Rohan Rai and others identified these two persons as Salian's friends Himanshu Shikhare and Indraneel Vaidya, but there was no mention in the files about the third person, the mysterious woman. Now, the CBI probing links to trace the missing woman, who could be a crucial lead in the case.

Aaditya Thackeray Breaks Silence On CBI Probe

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Wednesday spoke about the case for the first time CBI named as one of persons whose role will be probed. The former Maharashtra minister claimed he never knew or met Salian and alleged that some people are deliberately trying to link his name to the case to tarnish his character with political motives.

The Sena (UBT) MLA said that such malicious propaganda with political motives won't deter him from fighting for the truth. "Let's cut through the noise and talk facts, once again: I have never met or known Disha Salian.

CBI Registers FIR To Probe The Death Case

Aaditya's remarks come days after the CBI registered an FIR in the death case, naming no accused in compliance with Bombay High Court directives on a petition filed by her father.

Salian, 28, died on June 8, 2020, after falling from the a residential building in Mumbai's Malad area. The city police had registered an accidental death report (ADR) and subsequently claimed, after an inquiry, that it was a case of suicide. A week later, Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020, triggering speculation about a possible link between the two deaths.

On September 2, the Bombay High Court ordered a CBI probe into Salian's death while pulling up the Mumbai Police for failing to register an FIR for six years, observing that its investigation raises more questions than answers.
