Ashwini Dhir's son dies in car crash: In a devastating turn of events, Jalaj Dhir, the 18-year-old son of renowned filmmaker Ashwini Dhir, has tragically lost his life in a fatal car accident that occurred in the early hours of November 23 on the Western Express Highway in Vile Parle, Mumbai. The incident involved a group of four friends, all 18 years old, who were out for a drive in a car being driven by Sahil Mendha at a speed of 120-150 km per hour. 

According to reports, Sahil was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, which led to him losing control of the vehicle near the Sahara Star Hotel. The car subsequently crashed into a divider, resulting in the tragic accident that claimed Jalaj's life. The other occupants of the car, including Sahil, Sarth Kaushik, and Jedan Jimmy, were also involved in the accident, and the incident has sent shockwaves of grief and condolence through the film fraternity and beyond.

Jalaj had initially been hesitant to join his friends for the ill-fated drive, but they had persisted, urging him to come along. Tragically, the accident resulted in severe injuries to Jalaj and Sarth, who were seated in the back seat, while Sahil and Jedan, who were in the front, escaped with minor injuries. 

Despite being rushed to the hospital, both Jalaj and Sarth succumbed to their injuries. Jalaj was initially taken to a hospital in Jogeshwari East before being transferred to Kokilaben Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the medical team.
