Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's movie has achieved significant success at the box office with the recent Friday premiere of 'Gadar 2.' The film, directed by Anil Sharma and featuring Ameesha Patel, managed to accumulate a net total of Rs 134.88 crore during its first weekend at the domestic box office. This positive momentum has persisted into Monday, with the film's impressive performance continuing.
Based on early estimates, 'Gadar 2' comfortably generated Rs 39 crore on its fourth day, showcasing remarkable resilience following its impressive release on Friday. As per the Box Office India report, attendance at multiplexes remains consistent or has even increased compared to Friday, while single-screen cinemas are witnessing full houses. It has been noted that certain locations that didn't have full audiences on Friday were reportedly experiencing full occupancy on Monday.
The movie's earnings have secured the record for the highest non-holiday Monday collections ever. 'Gadar 2' has truly dominated the box office, and the film is anticipated to maintain this strong performance on Tuesday as well, coinciding with India's Independence Day.
During its initial two days in theatres, 'Gadar 2' amassed a total of Rs 83.18 crore. On Sunday, it experienced a remarkable increase of more than 20 per cent, resulting in a day 3 collection of Rs 51.70 crore net.
This achievement has marked the film's rapid journey to a 100-crore milestone, setting a record for the fastest attainment in a non-solo, non-holiday release. The film’s total collection now stands at Rs 173.88 crore and had an overall occupancy rate of 56.58 per cent in Hindi on Monday.
About Gadar 2:
Taking place in 1971, 'Gadar 2' depicts the narrative of Tara Singh as he embarks on a mission to Pakistan in order to liberate his son, Charanjeet Singh, from the clutches of the Pakistani Army. Unlike the first part, which was situated during the Partition era, this sequel has a different historical backdrop.
Directed by Anil Sharma, the film also features Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, and Manish Wadhwa, in important roles. Backed by Zee Studio and Anil Sharma Productions, the film possessed all the elements necessary for a successful outcome.
